CUSTOMER FINANCE MANAGER - INDEPENDENCE, OH (ON-SITE)
SCHEDULE: 8am-5pm; M-F

JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Finance Manager determines and arranges finance programs and other appropriate after-sale items for new- and used-vehicle customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Determines financing arrangements, including fair market value and residuals, for customers through the sales staff.
Collaborates with customers on terms and conditions or legal items in obtaining a lease.
Develops and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Converts cash deals to finance deals where appropriate.
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with multiple finance sources.
Manages the finance source program to ensure that several sources are available.
Seeks new lending institutions to secure competitive interest rates and finance programs continually.
Handles all rate quotation.
Processes finance and lease deals accurately, fairly and in accordance with local, state and federal statutes and company policies through multiple financial sources to secure approval.
Processes all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
Understands and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
Completes lease documentation, including Certificate of Insurance for lessors as needed, for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient manner.
Checks all paperwork for but not limited to correct title, lien information, taxes, consumer information before forwarding to accounting, as applicable.
Educates sales staff and managers with the current and new finance and lease programs and related benefits continually.
Works with GNCO’s used group on residuals of leased products and first right of refusal versus guaranteed approach.
Works with GNCO’s used group to acquire units from lessors and consider customers extensions.
Works with customers and account managers on returns and buy-outs.
Coordinates finance forecasting with sales department to achieve desired levels of penetration and income.
Takes all credit applications.
Prepares reports on finance penetration.
Supervises and trains designated backup to ensure continued efficiency.
Maintains professionalism on the job.
Reports for work as scheduled and arranges time off in accordance with policy.
Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of finance experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in data analysis, summarizing, and reporting.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to provide actionable insights.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Intermediate skills in remaining Microsoft Office suite.
Works effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task.
Keen attention to detail.
Exhibit effective workload management skills through efficient time utilization including managing work-in-process and documenting progress for appropriate stakeholders/management.
Familiar with policies, procedures, and programs to enhance financial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of self-responsibility, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
