Field Mechanic

Field MechanicFiberTel is looking for an experienced Field Mechanic for our Monroe, WA location.The Field Mechanic will be responsible for traveling to our job sites in PNW and performing diagnostics and repairs on our heavy equipment and fleet trucks. The preferred applicant will have vast experience in the industry, able to do about anything needed to fix all aspects of equipment like skid steers, mini's, excavators, dozers, plows and such. This includes things like electrical, engines, hydraulics, welding, etc. We will provide a service truck and specialized tools. Must have your own basic tools.Pay: $35/hr, DOEPosition ResponsibilitiesInspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipmentTravel to job sites all around CaliforniaPerform engine repairs and maintenancePerform safety inspectionsInspect, maintain, and repair transmission systemsMake necessary repairs to hydraulic and air brakesRepair and maintain HVAC systemsMake electrical repairsPerform oil changes as neededMaintain a clean work area, tools, and equipmentPosition Qualifications5+ years experience in heavy equipment mechanic workComputer skills including things like word, and excelAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to manage a schedule and organize timeWilling to travel out of state (60%)Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenanceExperience with hydraulic and electrical repairsKnowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gasAbility to perform electrical diagnostics using a scannerWelding ExperienceExperience with Ford 6.7 Diesel and GM 6.6 Duramax (Preferred)Safety Inspection certified (Preferred)Management experience (Preferred)Class A CDL (Highly Preferred)Diesel mechanic certified (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experienceBenefitsFiberTel is a rapidly growing company with plenty of room for you to grow!
