Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer - Motor Control & Satellite Test Systems, Satellite Engineering and Mechanical Development

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to design and implement automated test systems for verifying satellite hardware and components.Key job responsibilities* Develop embedded firmware (C/C++) to control electric motors (BLDC, stepper, servo) in satellite electromechanical systems* Implement motor control algorithms including FOC, commutation, torque/speed regulation, and closed-loop position control* Interface with sensors (encoders, Hall effect, current sensors, temperature, IMUs) to enable real-time feedback and monitoring* Design and build automated test systems for verifying satellite hardware and electromechanical assemblies* Develop cloud-based tools and infrastructure for test data collection, analysis, remote monitoring, and fleet-level reporting* Communicate with higher-level system architectures via standard protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet)* Author functional requirements, design verification plans, and test procedures* Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate firmware into satellite hardware* Support product releases from prototype through manufacturing and deploymA day in the lifeThis is not a generic embedded role. You will write the firmware that makes motors move, actuators deploy, and mechanisms operate - then build the cloud-connected test infrastructure to prove it all works. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
