The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of financial tasks, including maintaining financial reports, managing accounts, reconciling transactions, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Additional duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to month-end and year-end closing processes.QualificationsProficiency in accounting practices such as journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and preparing financial statementsStrong knowledge of tax compliance, auditing protocols, and ensuring adherence to financial regulationsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, along with strong data analysis skillsExceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time-management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills for financial reporting and collaboration with teamsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA certification is a plusPrior experience in banking or credit union financial operations is advantageous
