Equipment OperatorsWe are looking for Equipment Operators (Excavator, dozer, roller, off-road truck). Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner Check filters and grease equipment Observe the distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material. Keep work area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials. Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Other: Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations. Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries. Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating equipment so that work can be performed in a safe and quality manner. Familiarity with excavations and heavy lifting. Experience in stockpiling. Competencies: Detail oriented Stress Management/Composure. Process driven Teamwork orientation Supervisory Requirements: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This is a field based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Physical Demands: The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work. Average +/-50 hours per week. Travel: The role requires no travel. Required Education and Experience: Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment Must be reliable/have reliable transportation Preferred Education and Experience: Construction industry experience preferred Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently Additional Eligibility Requirements: Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
