The Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant performance. This role supervises operators and technicians, coordinates shift activities, responds to operational issues, and upholds company standards for safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:Supervise, lead, and support plant operators and technicians during assigned shiftsMonitor plant performance to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standardsCoordinate daily shift activities including personnel assignments, process checks, and equipment operationRespond to abnormal conditions, alarms, and plant upsets; provide guidance on corrective actionsEnsure shift documentation such as logs, reports, and checklists are completed accuratelyCommunicate shift status to incoming supervisors and management during turnover meetingsEnforce company policies and safety procedures, providing leadership in incident prevention and responseAssist with employee training and development, providing coaching and corrective feedback when neededCoordinate with maintenance personnel and management on equipment issues and outagesServe as the highest authority on-site during off-hours or night/weekend shiftsSupport other Site Operations at the request of an immediate Manager or Plant ManagerQualifications and Requirements:High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications preferred3+ years of experience in industrial plant operations, preferably in a supervisory or lead roleStrong understanding of plant processes, safety protocols, and control systems (e.g., SCADA/PLC)Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a teamExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekendsMust be able to wear PPE and work in an industrial environment when neededValid drivers license requiredPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Work is performed in an industrial facility, including time in control areas and field conditions with exposure to noise, dust, heat, outdoor elements, and operational hazardsMay involve standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, climbing, using hand tools, and working around heavy equipment or machineryMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights or in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasksUse of communication devices or computer systems may be required, depending on job functionPPE must be worn and all safety protocols followedAdditional Information:Cinder Residuals Texas, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
