We are hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our upcoming location in the **Woodbury Common Premium Outlets Mall in Central Valley, New York, 10917**The Assistant Store Manager will help ensure operational excellence at the store location while also providing training, coaching, leadership and mentoring to hourly store associates. Reporting directly the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will act as the “manager on duty” in the absence of the Store Manager as well as greet customers, ring up orders at the register, stock shelves, and all other duties aligned to ensure smooth operations and a memorable customer experience. This is a full-time, benefits eligible role.The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience within a retail store environment and prior Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level responsibilities. Are you HARIBO?ResponsibilitiesAct as “Manager on Duty” when HARIBO Retail Store Manager is not on duty Complete procedures to open and close the store safelyAssist in training, coaching, and mentoring a team of retail shop associatesGreeting customers, sampling activities – inside and outside of the store, ringing up orders, stocking shelves and backroomSupport retail store operations by supporting duties related to stock management, managing stock levels, ensuring adequate safety stock, and end-to-end stock managementAssist Store Manager with Staff planning, scheduling adequate store coverage.Deliver high levels of customer service Ensure all food hygiene processes are followed Ensure accurate and safe cash handling processes Handle customer complaints and resolve issuesOther duties as requiredQualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or HSED3+ years of work experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service rolesPrior cash handling (cash register, point of sales systems, etc) experienceFlexibility to meet the needs of th business – ability to work day (open and mid-days), evening (close), weekday, weekend shifts, and holidaysAbility to work on-site, everyday, at assigned physical HARIBO shop/store locationFrequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of timeOccasionally move up to 40 lbsOccasionally bend, reach, climb (using a ladder)This is a full-time, benefits eligible roleThis position is located on-site at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets Mall in Central Valley, New York, 10917Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in an Assistant Manager or Shift Manager level role5+ years of work experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service rolesPrior experience in a high-touch, customer experience focused retail environmentPrior experience working at the Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet mallMulti-lingual a plus / Ability to speak multiple languagesSkillsAbility to exhibit “Childlike Happiness” – one of HARIBO’s core values, and spread “Childlike Happiness” to our HARIBO retail shop customers by creating a memorable experience for all shoppers Demonstrated customer service focusStrong analytical and organizational skillsStrong communication skills – both verbal and writtenAttention to detailBasic computer skillsAbility to follow instructions and directionsCompensation And BenefitsTarget Hiring Pay Range: $55,000- $75,000 annuallyThis pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting.
