Senior Staff AccountantPosition OverviewBased out of Irvine, CA, we are a well-established, reputable, and privately-held Property Management firm with over 50 properties to manage in California. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant with supervisory experience to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures, while also providing insights and support for financial operations within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies in journal entries.Perform month-end close activities and reconciliations of accounts.Assist in audits and compliance processes, providing necessary documentation and reports.Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting for real estate operations.Utilize accounting software (such as Yardi) to manage financial data effectively.Provide support in financial analysis and reporting to improve decision-making.Qualifications3+ years of experience in accounting rolesAbout 3+ years of experience supervising staff accountantsProperty management experience preferred3+ years of property management software (i.e. Yardi, MRI) experience preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance, or related preferredValid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance as this position may require drivingBenefitsCompetitive base salary: $85,000-$95,000 annually (DOE)Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PMMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and 15 paid company holidaysTraining programs and growth opportunities
