Jr. Engineer

Position OverviewB&T USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our dynamic team in the firearms industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SolidWorks, with the ability to create precise technical drawings and models. This role will support both engineering and manufacturing efforts, contributing to the development and production of high-quality products.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage engineering projects from start to finish, including design, development, testing, and production launch.Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.Apply DFM principles to ensure designs are optimized for efficient manufacturing and assembly.Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and implement feedback to improve product performance and reliability.Conduct engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and material selection.Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, reports, and timelines.Required Education, Experience and SkillsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proficient in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical design principles.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.Preferred Skills:Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Familiarity with ERP systems and document control processes.Basic knowledge of firearms design.Work Environment:Work performed in an office and manufacturing environment.Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or crouch.Job TypeFT HourlyOn-Site - May be required to work after-hours as needed to meet production demands.BenefitsCompany contributes 100% for employee HMO medical option.DentalVision401(k) Retirement Savings Plan including 4% matching contributionsDisability PlansCompany paid Life InsurancePaid vacation and sick leavePaid HolidaysB&T participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.All offers of employment at B&T are contingent upon clear results of a thorough drug and background check.B&T provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, nation origin, pregnancy, disability status, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status or any other characteristics protected by federal, state, or local laws.
