This position will service both General-Education and Special-Education students. Maintaining a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding student information is essential.Key Responsibilities:Instructional Support: Assist students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce skills and knowledge introduced by the teacher. Help distribute and collect instructional materials and check students' work as directed.Classroom Environment: Help maintain an organized and stimulating classroom atmosphere, ensuring bulletin boards and learning displays are current.Student Supervision: Monitor students during lunch, recess, emergency drills, assemblies, and field trips. Ensure student conduct aligns with school expectations and report any issues to the teacher.Professionalism: Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community, reflecting a commitment to professionalism.Training & Development: Participate in professional development opportunities, including mandatory First Aid/CPR training.Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive student information and maintain the privacy of all educational records.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:Associate's degree or equivalent college credits (60 semester hours).Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with constant interruptions.Positive team player capable of establishing strong working relationships.Physical ability to engage with students actively (sitting, walking, standing) and lift objects as necessary (10 to 20 pounds).Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with students, particularly in Native American communities.Clerical experience and proficiency with technology in educational settings.Compensation/Benefits:Hourly rate per current Classified Salary Schedule -- Lane 3/Step 0, $21.16 ($21.75 after successful completion of probationary period).Retirement, Paid Sick and Annual (Vacation) Leave, Health Insurance.How to Apply:Current Employees: Submit a letter of interest and your current resume.External Applicants: Complete a certified application, available at the Human Resources Department, Administration Building, Browning Public Schools.Contact Information:Linda BakerHuman Resources Department129 1st Avenue SE, P.O.
