Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Working approximately half-time (.5 FTE), you'll collaborate with educational teams and make a positive difference while enjoying a schedule that can flex to fit student and school needs.Desired Qualifications:Active Illinois Occupational Therapist certification and license requiredPrevious experience in a school setting preferred, but all skilled OTs with pediatric passion consideredSolid understanding of strategies for promoting student participation and independenceComfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to be adaptable as schedules finalize according to caseload demandKey Responsibilities:Evaluate and assess students' occupational therapy needs in compliance with educational plansDevelop and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at helping students access the curriculum and improve daily life skillsCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive supportDocument services, progress notes, and required reports in a timely and thorough mannerParticipate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for modifications or supports as appropriateAdjust caseload management and daily schedule as needed based on referrals and school prioritiesThis assignment provides the opportunity to make a tangible impact in students' lives while working with a collaborative team in a vibrant, supportive school community.
