If you are interested in this position, please click this link to apply.Overview: Distribution Drivers are part-time employees who work once a month to deliver the current issue of SLUG Magazine to local businesses in Salt Lake City and its surrounding areas. Opportunities for additional routes are frequently available throughout the month.Reports to: Executive Editor, Circulation Coordinator, Community Development ManagerCritical Tasks & ResponsibilitiesPick up and load magazines according to SLUG Magazine’s specificationsDeliver SLUG Magazine to designated locations on assigned route once every monthUnload and deliver magazines in designated area of each location on assigned routeEngage with personnel at each location to be made aware of SLUG Magazine drop-offPick up prior month’s returned issuesPosting of posters and handbills on indicated route locationsComplete route logs, including but not limited to: counting returned magazines, cataloguing rack identification number, etc.Ask for feedback on provided services and communicate any requests or complaints to proper SLUG personnelAttend biannual distribution driver meetingsMaintain SLUG Magazine’s core values of quality and transparencyAssist the SLUG Magazine Team in continuing to build a quality, recognizable brand name through customer serviceQualificationsReliable transportationValid driver’s licenseProof of insuranceClean driving recordAbility to follow delivery routes and time schedulesAbility to problem solveSLUG Magazine readerDesire to contribute to communityRequired Competencies“Over-communicative” with route updates, changes, and any/all route detailsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong work ethic and dependabilityQuick learner, adaptableMaturity and ability to professionally represent our company, both on and off the clockExcellent attention to detailStrong communication skills for in-person and telephone interactions with distribution locationsManage and prioritize multiple responsibilities efficientlyAbility to communicate with senior managementStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsSLUG Magazine is an equal opportunity employer.
