Process Engineer – Hebron, KY
On Line Design is hiring a full‑time Process Engineer in Hebron, KY. The role is on‑site and relocation is not available. Candidates with 5+ years of experience in process engineering are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include development, scalability and validation of proprietary technology such as dryer design, atomization design, and process optimization.
Location & Employment
Hebron, KY – Full‑time – Mid‑Senior level – Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance – Food and Beverage Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Develop and test new atomization, dryer design and slurry manufacturing equipment
Develop scalability criteria for dryer designs, complete design packages and validation studies
Design and test next generation atomization technologies for scalability
Correlate atomization performance with rheology and understand mathematical correlation to scale
Collaborate with existing modeling expertise for accurate and mathematical scalability approaches
Clearly document experimental results, design theory, and implementation for sharing with the organization
Include all system components, including drying system, accessibility, ease of operation, cleaning and sanitization systems and automation theory into comprehensive design
Incorporate all process hazard analysis into design criteria
Develop comprehensive capital and installation budgets
Develop programs for new product scalability and prepare summaries for deployment into production
Document P&ID, SOPs, Design Feasibility and Conceptual requirements for new systems
Assist with fabrication level specifications and drawings
Attend and participate in weekly meetings
Apply food safety practices to operations and dryer development; applying them to design and development activities
Follow food safety and food defense procedures as instructed and required
Support site Food Safety and Quality Policy, including the site Food Safety Culture
Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Qualifications
Experience with equipment design and integration
Experience with process scale up
Bachelor’s Degree required (Chemical / Mechanical Engineering)
5 years’ experience required
Master’s degree or higher Preferred
