Sales are up, so we are actively seeking new team members to meet the continually growing demand.The Leather/Fabric Machine Cutting Operator is responsible for accurately cutting leather and fabric materials according to production specifications and patterns for use in furniture manufacturing. This role ensures optimal material usage, quality standards, and production efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment.RequirementsResponsibilitiesOperate cutting machines (manual, or Pathfinder) to cut leather and fabric componentsRead and interpret work orders, patterns, and cutting layoutsInspect materials for defects and determine proper placement to maximize yield and minimize wasteSpread and position fabric or leather hides for accurate cuttingAdjust machine settings based on material type, thickness, and cutting requirementsMonitor cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality of partsBundle, label, and organize cut parts for downstream production (sewing, upholstery, assembly)Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshootingMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety procedures and company policiesCollaborate with floor leaders to troubleshoot and resolve fabric issues, as well as meet production goals and deadlinesAssist Engineers, Scheduler, Buyer, and Fabric TechnicianOther duties as assigned by supervisorRequirementsMust be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in furniture manufacturing, textile cutting, or upholstery strongly preferredExperience operating cutting machines (Gerber, Lectra, Eastman, or similar) is a plusAbility to read patterns, blueprints, or work instructionsStrong attention to detail and qualityBasic mechanical aptitudeAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsFormer Diamino & Formaris software experience preferredCompetitive Benefits:401(k)Profit SharingWeekly PayLow-deductible medical insuranceDental and vision plansLife insuranceShort-term disabilityReferral programPaid holidaysOnsite Medical ClinicSchedule:Overtime available
