Non-CDL Driver Trainee
Cascade Disposal, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire a Non-CDL Driver Trainee in Bend, OR.Starting Pay : $27 -$29/ hr DOE.Monday - Friday, 5:30am Start time until the route is complete. Generally 8-11hrs. Occasional Saturdays.Candidate must hold either a Class B or Class A CDL Permit prior to hire in order to be considered. ***In this position, you will be responsible for collecting and loading waste, as well as transporting this waste by a side load truck to a landfill and /or transfer station. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Assist with CDL and Non-CDL routes as needed, including Container delivery and Portable Toilets.Working Conditions And Physical EffortExtensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times every day while on routeWork environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
