Sr. Attorney II
Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries to ensure their effective operation in accordance with federal, state, local, and/or international laws.
Essential Functions
Provides legal counsel and guidance to FedEx to ensure legal compliance and protection of its rights.
Assesses legal risks, prepares legal documents, represents the company in legal matters, and provides on‑the‑spot legal advice.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Juris Doctorate degree from an Accredited Bar Association (ABA) and admission to the bar.
Minimum Experience
Eight (8) years’ experience and demonstrated competency relevant to area of legal specialization. Superior academic record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web‑based applications.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals.
Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
Ability to work and influence peers and senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will have significant experience with U.S. aviation law, regulations, and policy. Previous experience with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is preferred.
Compensation
Pay: $13,942.45 USD/Month - $27,883.50 USD/Month

Location: Washington, D.C. This position is not eligible for relocation.
