Environmental Scientist

Environmental Planner/ScientistAccountable for the coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Reports to the Senior Project Manager. The successful Environmental Planner/Scientist will provide project support to project managers during the execution of projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesFamiliarity with natural resources permitting at the federal and state levelFamiliarity with surveys required to successfully complete project permittingExperience conducting wetland delineations and habitat surveysCreates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Prepares deliverables and permit applications.Effectively applies Audubon methodology and enforces project standards.Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.Remains completely accessible to the project manager during life of project, ensuring specific requests are process timely and appropriately.Participates as a contributing member of assigned Business Unit.Assist Sr. PM and other members of the Project Management Team in project completionConsistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.Leads and/or acts as a member of internal teams/task forces.Health, Safety, and Environmental ResponsibilitiesAll employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safetyParticipating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activitiesIdentifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditionsFollowing safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirementsExperience and Skill RequirementsBachelor's Degree AND 5-7+ years of experience.Preferred: Wetland certificate.Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of industry related experience as a planner/scientist or similar role.Experience Preferred: 5 years of linear survey experience.Works to instill a sense of project ownership and accountability.Coordinates and works with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Accounting) to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services which meet or exceed our customer's expectations.Takes an ACTIVE role in developing their skills and progressing professionally.Identifies opportunities for team member improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and proceduresNo Recruiters, please!Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
