Sales Marketing Business Development

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development to lead sales growth and market expansion for our concrete, stone, aggregates, and construction materials business. This role is responsible for generating new business, developing strategic customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and increasing revenue and profitability.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales, networking, and leadership skills who understands the construction industry and can build lasting relationships with contractors, builders, developers, municipalities, and commercial customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue GrowthDevelop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and gross profit goals.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal markets.Generate new accounts through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and job-site visits.Prepare and present proposals, bids, pricing, and contracts.Negotiate pricing and service agreements while maintaining target margins.Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.Business DevelopmentDevelop relationships with general contractors, concrete contractors, landscapers, excavation companies, developers, architects, engineers, and municipalities.Research and identify upcoming construction projects and bid opportunities.Expand market share through strategic partnerships and customer acquisition.Develop new sales channels and market segments.Customer Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.Conduct regular customer visits and job-site meetings.Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities for additional product sales.QualificationsRequiredMarketing, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience.Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue growth targets.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.PreferredExperience in concrete, stone, aggregates, building materials, construction supplies, ready-mix, hardscapes, or related industries.Bachelor's degree in Business.Knowledge of construction practices, specifications, and project bidding processes.Experience reading blueprints and construction plans.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)New customer accounts acquiredSales revenue growthGross profit growthNumber of contractor and customer visitsNew project opportunities identifiedQuote-to-sale conversion rateCustomer retention rateMarket share growthCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryPerformance-based commission and bonus programVehicle allowance or company vehicleMobile phone Health and retirement benefits Desired TraitsEntrepreneurial mindsetResults-orientedStrong networking abilitiesStrategic thinkerExcellent communicatorHighly organized and self-motivatedPassion for growing a business and developing long-term customer relationshipsWhy Join Us?We are a growing supplier of concrete, stone, and construction materials committed to exceptional customer service and long-term relationships.
