We've successfully delivered on 13 federal contracts and we're scaling fast.About the RoleWe're looking for a Government Contract Specialist to run federal procurement pipelines from opportunity identification through post-award fulfillment. You'll work inside our proprietary Viceroy Procurement Workstation (VPW), managing daily bid pipelines, sourcing vendors, verifying specs, and submitting compliant bids under the direction of our Director of Procurement.This is a high-tempo, detail-dependent role built for someone who finds satisfaction in structured, precise work and closing loops quickly.ResponsibilitiesConduct daily opportunity scans across SAM.gov, Unison, and agency/lab portals; maintain 20+ active opportunities in VPW at all timesPerform same-day Green/Red triage on all new opportunities with documented reasoningSource manufacturers and distributors; apply the 30-minute vendor search rule and place at least one verification phone call per bidPrepare complete, FAR/DFARS-compliant bid packages within 2 business days (technical narrative, pricing schedule, SF-1449, reps & certs, past performance)Submit bids through SAM.gov, Unison, or agency portals following Director approvalManage post-award fulfillment: purchase orders, WAWF/IPP invoicing, delivery tracking, and contract closeoutRequired QualificationsU.S. CitizenshipExceptional attention to detail — missed clauses and misplaced decimals cost real moneyStrong written and verbal communication; comfortable cold-calling vendorsProven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF toolsAbility to interpret dense government solicitation documentsComfort in a structured, SOP-driven environment with daily KPIsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in government contracting, procurement, or complianceWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses and NAICS/PSC codesExperience with SAM.gov, Unison, FedConnect, NASA SEWP, or DLA DIBBSWAWF/IPP invoice submission experienceBackground supporting DoD, Bureau of Prisons, or national laboratory procurementsCompensation & Benefits$18–$22/hour base pay (reviewed annually)Quarterly performance bonuses tied to awarded contract volume and pipeline healthUnlimited PTOAll 11 federal holidays paidClear promotion track: Contract Specialist → Senior Specialist → Procurement LeadRemote or hybrid flexibility from our Albuquerque, NM officeHow to ApplySubmit your resume, a brief introduction, 3 professional references, and your LinkedIn profile URL to contact@viceroynm.com with the subject line: Contract Specialist Application: [Your Name]Learn more: viceroynm.com/contract-specialist
