This role works closely with the Superintendents, and Field Operations Managers to ensure the right workforce is available to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.By owning execution follow-through and visibility, this role reduces delays, prevents dropped handoffs, and minimizes reactive escalation, enabling leadership to trust that once decisions are made, execution will reliably follow. This role does not make hiring, staffing, or delivery decisions; it ensures those decisions are executed cleanly, visibly, and predictably.This role sits at the center of hiring, employee engagement, and resource planning, tracking manpower movement and assisting with temp. labor assignments.Reports to: Director of OperationsPrimary ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Hiring:Generate, monitor, and control Job PostingsSource qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, and industry networksScreen resumes, reschedule / conduct interviews, and evaluate candidate qualifications using Icon Electric interview toolsVerify licenses, certifications, and work eligibilityCoordinate hiring, onboarding, and orientation processesCoordinate hiring needs with HR and managementMaintain relationships with staffing agencies for temporary laborStaffing & DeploymentAssist with field personnel assignments and dispatching, based on; skillset, experience, certifications, and project requirementsCollaborate with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, and other relevant staff to assist to review and monitor manpower forecastingAssist Field Operations Team with adjusting manpower levels as projects ramp up or downCoordinate workforce movement between job sites using Manpower Tracker spreadsheetAssist with dispatching electricians to new project assignmentsLead Temp Labor ManagementMaintain Staffing Trackers and ToolsLabor Tracking & ReportingMaintain an up-to-date workforce database (skills, certifications, availability)Track workforce levels by project (headcount, roles, hours)Assist Project Managers and Field Operations Team with monitoring and reporting average labor rate across projectsAssist with identifying workforce gaps and proactively plan recruitment strategiesRetention & Workforce DevelopmentSupport employee engagement and retention initiativesCoordinate training, certifications, and apprenticeship developmentAssist in performance tracking and career progression planningAssist with monitoring and scheduling reviews and follow ups for quarterly performance objectivesCompliance & SafetyEnsure all personnel meet licensing and certification requirementsVerify compliance with safety standards (OSHA, site-specific requirements)Key CompetenciesSkills, Knowledge, & Abilities:Experience working within union and non-union trade labor environmentsKnowledge of local labor markets and trade schoolsFamiliarity with construction project scheduling and manpower planningProven ability to coordinate across multiple teams, without direct authorityComfortable operating in fast moving, delivery-critical environments with competing prioritiesClear and Concise communicator, with strong judgment and escalation instinctsDetail-Oriented, with a high degree of accountability and ownershipSelf-starter, with integrity, professionalism, and sound discretion.Qualifications3–7+ years of experience in electrical construction, staffing, or workforce managementStrong knowledge of trade electrical roles (foremen, journeymen, apprentices, ect.)Excellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyProven success tracking decisions, commitments, dependencies, and outcomes across cross-functional initiativesEducational And TrainingHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent trainingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with workforce tracking systems is a plusAdditional RequirementsWork 40 hours per week and overtime if requiredAbility to safely lift and carry 50 lbs., unassistedJob may require repetitive use of arms, hands, and/or fingers for prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting or walking throughout workdayMust be able to satisfactorily pass and meet security clearance requirements, background checks, and/or other identification processes for client work of particular or confidential nature or as may be required by the company from time to timeMust comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes, regulations and procedural requirements mandated by work performed that is of a qualified, defined safety sensitive natureValid driver’s license and proof of insurability when job duties require use of a motor vehicleExercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to ICON Electric applicants, employees, clients, other industry partners and company proprietary informationPresent professional image of ICON Electric at all times by promoting and exemplifying company’s established core values and ethical business principlesWhy Join Us?We’re committed to attracting talented individuals who seek a company with a strong foundation of success and an outstanding culture.
