Restaurant Sales & Event Manager
Job description
Sales & Event Manager will listen to our guests as they describe their vision, and then organize events that surpass their highest expectations. As a Sales & Event Manager, you will be responsible for selling and coordinating both corporate and social events. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in event planning, organized, have an eye for detail, and be a motivated salesperson.
You will be responsible for:
Generating quality leads and maintaining current and future business
Responding to calls in a timely and professional manner
Ensuring guest experience from initial contact to the end of the event
Building local client base through outside sales calls, prospecting, direct mail, networking, and referrals
Meeting weekly quota for outside sales calls
Closing the sale
Meet and/or exceed monthly booking goals
Ensuring successful events that meet both the client needs and the company’s profitability guidelines
Communicating all relevant information to appropriate departments in a detailed manner
Fully execute and manage all event logistics, including brainstorming for creative concepts.
What we’re looking for:
At least 3 years of successful events sales experience in a restaurant, hotel, country club, or similar fine-dining establishment
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of current food and bar trends
Experience with menu development, event coordination, BEO origination, food & beverage knowledge a must-have
Ability to work weekends and evenings when events are held
Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing or Business is preferred.
Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000 + Commisions
