Health & Safety ManagerSalary: 130K -150K + BenefitsDirect Hire/Full Time RoleLocation: Tuscaloosa, ALRelocation is possibleJob SummarySirius Staffing is looking for a Health & Safety Manager. As the H&S Manager you'll be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of company-wide health and safety programs across all facilities and operations. This position provides company-wide governance, strategic leadership, and technical expertise to ensure consistent application of health and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices throughout the enterprise. The role partners with executive leadership, site management, and functional leaders to promote a strong safety culture, reduce operational risk, prevent incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance across all business units.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain company-wide health and safety programs, policies, standards, and proceduresEstablish and oversee a consistent Health & Safety Management System across all facilitiesProvide technical guidance and strategic leadership to site-level safety teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practicesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable regulationsInterpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable company-wide programsCoordinate and support regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactionsMaintain compliance documentation and oversight processesLead or support investigations into incidents, near-misses, and process safety eventsApply root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, Five Why, Cause Mapping)Analyze safety trends and implement preventative strategiesEstablish and monitor safety performance metrics (TRIR, DART, near-misses, etc.)Develop dashboards and executive-level reportsPresent safety performance trends, risks, and recommendations to leadershipDefine and standardize safety training and competency requirements for employees and contractorsOversee contractor safety programs, including prequalification and performance monitoringConduct or oversee safety audits, program assessments, and field observationsIdentify gaps between policy and execution and implement corrective action plansEnsure consistency and effectiveness of safety programs across all sitesPartner with site leadership to strengthen safety culture and accountabilityRepresent the organization with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of progressive health & safety experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, or heavy industrial environmentsExperience overseeing safety programs across multiple facilitiesStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standardsLeadership experience with the ability to influence across teamsCSP or CIH certification preferredMust be authorized to work in the US – Sponsorship is not offered now or in the futureAdditional DetailsCombination of office and field-based work environmentsRegular travel to operating facilities requiredAbility to work in industrial environments and use required safety equipmentSirius Staffing is an equal opportunity employer.
