Lead Machinist

Machine OperatorZentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based dessert. The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers. We are currently seeking a machine operator for all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Weekend AM, and Weekend PM) in our Boba department for our Plymouth, IN location.The lead machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production and quality output within the Boba department. This person will support in training and upskilling other members of the machine operating team.Primary Responsibilities:Calibrating and setting up machines to start production cyclesControlling and adjusting machine settings, such as speed and temperature, to ensure efficient operationLoading raw materials or parts into the machineQuality control, inspecting products and ensuring they meet quality standardsTrouble shooting by identifying and fixing issues that arise during operationPerforming routine maintenance and cleaning the machines to prevent breakdownsMaintaining logs of machine activity, PM activities, CIL listsEducation:High school diploma or GED preferredVocational training in mechanical or electrical fields preferredExperience and Key Knowledge Requirements:Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding how machinery works and being able to troubleshoot mechanical issues. CNC machinist background is a plusAttention to Detail: Ensuring that the packaging process meets quality standards and identifying defectsTechnical Skills: Operating and adjusting machine settings, such as speed and temperatureProblem-Solving: Quickly diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during operationSafety Awareness: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environmentProduction experience in food manufacturing a plusEOE/M/F/H/V
