Educational Tour And Workshop Manager
POSITION SUMMARY** Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, seeks anexperienced and imaginative individual to fill the position ofEDUCATIONAL TOUR AND WORKSHOP MANAGER, responsible for the promotion,implementation, and daily management of the Northeast Regional Tour andWorkshops in the Education Department. This year-round position beginson or about August 15, 2026, and offers \$769.23 to \$961.54 per week(\$40,000 to \$50,000 annually) with local housing during relocationavailable. **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** - Schedules the Tour includingauditions, rehearsals, performances, and travel; - SchedulesWorkshops; - Works with others to produce promotional materials andcontent for Tour and Workshops; - Actively pursues and contractsperformance opportunities for the Tour and opportunities for Workshopsand potential Workshop participants; - Works with others to cultivateWorkshop sessions in costuming and production; - Works with others tohire all Tour and Workshops artistic staff; - Manages Tour Bookingcontracts, payments, weekly schedules, and correspondence and enrollmentfor all Workshops; - Serves as primary technical & logistical contactwith Tour schools/venues; - Assures the readiness of performance spacescontracted for Tour presentations; - Coordinates vehicle needs,scheduling, and day-of-performance details for the actors; - Facilitatesactors\' travel and accommodations, per diem, and other travelexpenses; - Works closely with others to coordinate maintenance of Touras issues arise; - Tracks payments and expenses for Financedepartment; - Manages all in-house performances of the Tour, includingcoordinating student seating, ticketing, and other needed logistics; -Manages all workshops in person, and keeps the schedule, coordinatescommunication with participants, and coordinates space use; -Coordinates and collaborates with others on revision, publication anddistribution of Tour Study Guides, Training manuals, Workshop materialsfor participants, other needed printed materials; - Attends andparticipates in bi-weekly company Operations Meetings; - Providesadditional support across other Education programming. **EXPERIENCE,KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS** The successful candidate willhave: - Experience in Theater/Performing Arts management or a relatedundergraduate degree; - Prior experience with Touring productions and/orEducational Theatre programs; - Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced,high-transaction performing or other arts environment; - Stronginterpersonal and collaborative leadership skills and an openness tomany perspectives; - Experience in organizing, working, andcommunicating effectively with groups of individuals from diversebackgrounds, identities, abilities, and experiences; - Strong detail,organizational, and project management skills; - Strong written andconversational communication skills; - Computer skills includingMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom and SocialMedia; - Valid Driver\'s License; - Experience with Shakespeare &Company\'s Education Programming preferred; - Budget managementexperience preferred; - Completion of a COVID-19 vaccine regimen andbooster, if eligible, prior to employment term; - Successful completionof a Criminal Offense Record Information check (CORI). **COMPENSATION**This year-round, full-time Exempt employee will receive \$769.23 to\$961.54 per week (\$40,000 to \$50,000 annually), plus a full benefitspackage including health insurance plan, retirement plans, and paid timeoff. Temporary local housing is available as part of a relocationpackage.
