The job is in our King of Prussia, PA or Waltham, MA Office. This is a hybrid position and is onsite three days a week. You will report to the Senior Director Global Medical Communications.Responsibilities:Partners with cross-functional teams to develop the pub plans, as needed and accountable for ensuring execution of all publication plans across all TAsAccountable for publication management system activities across all TAsLead a publications team and hold accountability for smooth and compliant execution of pubs across all TAsAccountable for all training activities for all of MA with respect to publication processAccountable for the audits and governance of all publications. Liaise with legal and compliance, as neededAccountable for all metrics and analytics for pubs for senior leadershipAccountable to represent Global publications in all strategic meetings across all TAsAccountable for vendor management of all publications across all TAs ensuring tracking of budget for all pubs and ensuring preferred vendor utilization for all pubs activitiesFollow and stay abreast of updates to publication-related guidelines including but not limited to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), Good Publication Practice (GPP), CONSORT Guidelines, American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style, and Council of Biology Editors. Represent the organization at appropriate publication forums to elevate enterprise profileProactively identify operational challenges and suggest opportunities and solutions for improving operational efficiencyQualifications:Advanced degree in life sciences or medical discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).Valid ISMPP CMPP credential preferred12+ years of experience in medical publications or scientific communications within the biotech/pharma industry or a medical communications agency.Ability to think strategically in addition to experience in operationalizing scientific publication and communication strategiesExperience of working in a matrix global organization requiredDemonstrated expertise in global publication planning, compliance, and governance.Strong knowledge of publication standards (ICMJE, GPP, CONSORT, AMA) and publication tools (e.g., PubsHub/Pubs strat).Experience with altmetrics, share of voice dashboards, and publication impact analytics including executive medical communications dashboards preferred.Excellent leadership, project management, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across functions and geographies.The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay $243,000-300,00K for this position at the listed at the time of this posting for Waltham MA. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors.
