Emergency Department Technician - per diem position

Position Title: Emergency Department TechnicianLocation: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital CampusRole & Department: Emergency Department Technician in the Emergency Services DepartmentHours & Shift: Per diem position, one weekend per month requiredRole Responsibilities: The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for obtaining and processing patient information as his/her primary roleCandidates may be required to assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and Physician in the Emergency DepartmentQualifications: Candidates must have a current EMT certification or Advanced EMT certification or other closely related background required One year of past work experience in an acute care hospital setting preferredExperience working with an ambulance crew would be beneficialPrior medical terminology is beneficialCurrent BLS certification is requiredExcellent communication and organizational skills are requiredAbility to work some flexible hours is very beneficialPrior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not requiredEmployee Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packages available for both part and full-time employees!
