Essential responsibilities include conducting face-to-face sign-out sessions from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, participating in multidisciplinary team rounds, and managing continuous intake of new consults and admissions from emergency departments, medical floors, and direct ICU transfers. The position requires performing advanced critical care procedures including intubations, central venous catheter placements, arterial line insertions, chest tube placements, paracentesis, and lumbar punctures while maintaining direct communication with consulting specialists and conducting goals of care discussions with family members.
