Summary: The Analyst, Trade Promotion Strategy will support the broader Trade Promotion Strategy team on a variety of important reporting, tracking, and analytical tasks across all classes of trade and Hershey categories with direct ownership of Away From Home (AFH) sales channel. The Analyst will be a key contributor to fundamental processes that support the SRGM Trade Promotion Strategy function. Additionally, this role may at times require strong collaboration with other functions including Customer Planning, Marketing, Sales, Category Management, Finance, and Consumer Insights. Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Supports the design, management, and maintenance of SRGM performance management best practices and processes (e.g., KPI reporting, IRI Unify custom attributes, etc.)
Executes complex analyses to support the development of promotional optimization and recommendations that drive value creation and deliver on Hershey's U.S. sales objectives
Supports the Director, Trade Promotions Strategy with other ad hoc analytical tasks, as necessary, to help inform pricing strategy decisions and recommendations
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
Strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint / Thinkcell), with proven ability to synthesize multiple data sources to create clear, concise, informative KPI reporting and tracking tools
Solid analytical skills and business / financial acumen, or a clear potential for developing (i.e., has good foundation and aptitude)
Solid collaboration and communication skills
Problem-solving mentality, intellectually curious, demonstrated critical thinking skills
Entrepreneurial skills and style
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
Solid knowledge of syndicated data (e.g. IRI, Nielsen) and its nuances is a plus
Solid working knowledge of SAP is a plus
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or Equivalent
2+ years of business experience, with experience in CPG industry a significant plus
Ideally experience in Sales, Finance, Marketing, or analytical functions (e.g., Category Mgmt)
Familiarity with FMCG industry customer base and working knowledge of retail merchandising and in store execution tactics a plus
