We specialize in aligning talented individuals with mission-driven, technology-forward organizations that keep our region running.Position OverviewCorSource is seeking an experienced Nuclear Engineer to support engineering programs, plant modifications, and operational excellence initiatives in the commercial nuclear energy sector. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in regulated environments, strong familiarity with industry standards, and a proven ability to navigate complex, multidisciplinary engineering challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review engineering designs, calculations, and documentation related to nuclear plant systems and componentsSupport system health assessments, equipment evaluations, and life-cycle analysis in accordance with industry best practicesEnsure compliance with applicable engineering codes, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards (e.g., NRC, INPO, NQA-1)Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, licensing, maintenance, and project managementConduct engineering change evaluations, prepare engineering work packages, and support field implementationPerform risk assessments, root cause evaluations, and corrective/preventive action planningParticipate in design reviews, technical walkdowns, and readiness assessmentsSupport procurement and qualification of nuclear-grade components, materials, and servicesMaintain and update system configuration documentation, drawings, and engineering recordsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, safety, and regulatory compliancePreferred Skills & Experience5–15+ years of engineering experience in a commercial nuclear power or highly regulated energy environmentStrong technical background in systems engineering, mechanical/electrical/nuclear engineering, or plant operations supportFamiliarity with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NRC, ASME, IEEE, ANSI, NQA-1, 10 CFR Part 50/21/100)Experience preparing engineering design change packages and supporting modifications in a nuclear facilityProficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, system modeling tools, document control platforms)Excellent analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skillsPE license, NCEES certification, or advanced training in nuclear engineering a plusEducation & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering (or closely related field)Must be authorized to work in the United StatesRegional travel may be required depending on project assignmentAbility to obtain site-specific access and security clearances, if requiredWhy Work with CorSource?When you join our network, you gain access to exclusive contract opportunities in high-impact organizations.
