Early Childhood Lead / Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to support early childhood education in a dynamic classroom environment. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for young children. Experience with special education, literacy, math, and behavior management is highly valued. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to children's development while working alongside experienced educators in a nurturing setting.ResponsibilitiesSupport lead teachers in developing and executing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including Montessori and preschool methodologies.Assist with classroom management to promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.Implement literacy and math activities tailored to early childhood development needs.Support children with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges, ensuring individualized attention and appropriate behavior management strategies.Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play.Engage children in educational activities that promote social skills, emotional growth, and cognitive development.Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support ongoing educational goals and behavioral expectations.Assist with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities.Contribute to curriculum development by providing feedback on lesson effectiveness and student progress.ExperiencePrior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar environments is preferred.Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques.Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder or other developmental challenges.Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction for young learners, behavior management strategies, and curriculum development.Previous experience in Montessori or preschool programs is a plus.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and specialists are essential.
