Assists with tournaments and lessons as necessary. Using a point-of sale system, completes monetary transactions. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:Assists costumers with selections of merchandise while providing Spectacular Customer ServiceReceives and handles sales transactions, operate cash register and credit card machine according to proceduresDemonstrates an interest in golf and possesses the ability to interact with guests in a knowledgeable mannerPrepares cash deposit envelope at end of dayCreates and arrange displays as directedRestocks merchandiseEnter data required for record keepingAssist or perform monthly inventory Secondary Functions:Completes all paperwork and forms in a timely mannerMakes recommendations to management regarding potential merchandise based on guest requests and inquiresAssists with the successful execution of golf tournaments, as necessaryMaintains a nest and organized area at all timesOther duties as assigned Specific Job Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and oralComputer knowledge necessary particularly Excel and WordKnowledge of cost control and inventoryGood organizational skills, problem-solving and customer service Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Two or more years of retail clerk experience desired. Job Conditions: Working conditions may include working in an office setting with a computer, telephone, fax and other equipment. Conditions may include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays. Working on sales floor with customers and staff. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up 75 lbs. While standing, twisting or bending. Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork.
