Explorers Learning Academy is seeking a caring, experienced Infant Lead Teacher to provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for infants in a nurturing and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate infant classroom
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support infant development
Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing (HHSC) and Texas Rising Star standards
Maintain accurate daily reports, observations, and documentation Follow safe sleep practices, feeding schedules, and hygiene procedures Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom Build positive relationships with families through consistent communication Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
CDA, Associate’s, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Strong knowledge of infant development and care best practices CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must pass background check and meet state staffing requirements
