Commissioning Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to assist with administrative tasks during the design, pre-construction, and construction phases. This role involves managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and the bidding process. The successful candidate will work independently with minimal oversight and will be responsible for overseeing the work of the design team.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.Organize and control project elements to complete engineering projects.Review drawings for accuracy and completeness.Assemble necessary details for job bid proposals.Develop relationships with subcontractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.Support the Project Manager in collecting information to complete the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.Assist in projecting and adhering to job budgets and timing of tasks.Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.Control project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Travel to job sites when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.Ensure a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.Maintain project databases by updating construction systems.Support the Project Manager by answering customer inquiries.Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.Manage change orders by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, and closing orders.Support customer satisfaction initiatives by building relationships, investigating concerns, and implementing corrective actions.Develop communication plans with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project status.Create and maintain project schedules, identifying planning needs and resource constraints.Lead all aspects of project administration pertaining to commissioning.Understand contract clauses and manage risks associated with construction contract content.Validate project scope, cost, and schedule while ensuring project compliance and safety.Participate in pre-bid validation meetings and establish customer expectations.Essential SkillsProject management experience in construction, commercial construction, or HVAC.Mechanical engineering and project engineering expertise.Experience with construction management and project scheduling.Knowledge of commissioning and TAB processes.Proficiency in RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project coordination.Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with project schedules and PM construction software.Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Capability to meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment with attention to detail.Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management/Science Degree.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes an office setting with on-site visits to projects. The role involves a 70/30 office to field ratio for commissioning. The position reports to the Commissioning Manager. You will have the opportunity to interface with executives of a Fortune 500 company and gain exposure to state-of-the-art data centers.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pryor, OK.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
