This role will manage and close maintenance contracts while building strong client relationships. As a decisive and competitive professional, you will excel at analyzing complex technical data, troubleshooting challenges on the fly, and consistently delivering high-quality, organized results.Sales Engineer ResponsibilitiesAccount Management: Maintained client retention through proactive check-ins, assessing system needs, and recommending reliability enhancements.Project Engineering & Sales: Designed and sold HVAC solutions, including mechanical/refrigerant retrofits, D.D.C. control systems, and equipment replacements.Estimating & Proposals: Prepared accurate estimates using enterprise software and delivered compelling service presentations to prospective clients.Reporting & CRM: Documented all weekly sales, call activity, and project statuses within CRM software.Financial Oversight: Evaluated assigned account profitability to drive contract renewals and implement rate adjustments.Lead Generation & Cross-Selling: Pursued internal leads—including those from field technicians—and collaborated with cross-departmental teams to cross-sell services and close deals.Collections: Communicated with clients to resolve outstanding invoices and negotiate payment plans.Networking: Represented the company by participating in approved professional associations.Sales Engineer QualificationsBachelor’s degree (mechanical engineering) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
