Trademark Operations Supervisor

A leading international law firm is seeking a Trademark Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of its Trademark practice. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing trademark support staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across the practice.You will partner closely with attorneys, paralegals, and practice leadership to drive operational excellence, support business objectives, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people management, process improvement, and trademark operations.This position is available in New York City, DC, Boston, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle. (Hybrid)Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Team OversightSupervise Trademark Paralegals, including workflow management, performance monitoring, and day-to-day supportManage billable targets and productivity metrics across the teamLead onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development initiativesOversee the Trademark Transfer Specialist and all transfer-related processes (in/out)Manage the Trademark Practice Assistant and related administrative workflowsDevelop and maintain procedural manuals and workflow documentationFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementOperational ExcellenceOversee and streamline trademark workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timelinessMonitor workload distribution and reallocate resources as neededIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance service deliveryLeadership & Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, leadership, and support teamsProvide insights to leadership on staffing, capacity planning, and operational strategySupport and lead change management initiatives, including new tools and processesModel strong leadership through clear communication, coaching, and accountabilityQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in trademark prosecution operations, including 2+ years in a leadership roleDeep knowledge of U.S. and international trademark prosecution processes and docketing systemsProven experience managing teams and driving operational improvementsFamiliarity with trademark docketing and practice management systems preferredStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of discretion and professionalism with confidential informationBachelor’s degree required
