Global Manager Security & Loss Prevention

About the RoleResponsible for company's physical security, loss prevention, including protection of warehouse and office locations, assets and ensuring a safe working environment for company personnel. Responsible for ensuring the implementation of effective loss prevention procedures designed to protect our assets and products in the supply chain. Responsible for developing contingency procedures to protect company personnel, facilities and assets during crisis situations.The ideal candidate will possess the ability to see the big picture while also being able to dial-in to the details, possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, and be an excellent communicator. You will be responsible for budgeting, risk analyzation & mitigation, and being both the first and last line of defense in protecting our assets.What You Will DoEnsure the safety of staff and visitors within the workplace.Develop and implement global security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our assets.Conduct thorough risk assessment and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.Collaborate with other departments to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate them inclusively of educating departments and employees on best practices.Develop effective mitigation strategies.Monitor and investigate any suspicious activity within the company's premises utilizing CCTV, alarms, access control systems, etc.Investigate incidents of theft, vandalism, or other security breaches, gather evidence, and liaise with law enforcement agencies when necessary.Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents.Stay up to date on emerging security trends, technologies, and best practices and make recommendations on adopting new processes or tools.Prepare and present regular reports to management, highlighting security risks and providing recommendations for improvements.Conduct internal investigations on employee misconduct, violations of security policies, or breaches of trust.Provide security oversight for new locations, ensuring compliance with associated insurance, corporate security and vendor requirements.Conduct annual security risk assessments of storage locations & logistic operations and identify vulnerabilities. Report to Senior Management vulnerabilities and make recommendations to mitigate risk to an acceptable level. Facility protection Work with Country and Operations Managers to ensure adequate security measures are in place to protect our facility and warehouse locations.Ensure compliance with all fixed storage location security warranties and requirements stipulated in Marine Cargo Insurance Policy.Ensure compliance with Corporate Security Policy and partner requirements in terms of site protection measures, security systems and security guard force operations.Supervise and collaborate with designated security managers in all tasks associated with site protection, security guard force operations and security systems operation (alarm, CCTV and access control systems).Ensure Site Security Managers maintain up-to-date detailed operational status report for security alarm systems, CCTV systems, physical security barriers and access control systems at their facility. Logistics SecurityCollaborate with global Operations Managers and logistic service providers (e.g. Fedex) to ensure compliance in all global operations with in-transit security warranties (as applicable) and requirements stipulated in Marine Cargo Insurance policy.Conduct logistics security risk assessments for new operations. Work with Operations and Sales Team counterparts to assess routing, shipping terms, logistic service providers partners, conveyance limits and frequency of shipments to implement required security protocols to mitigate risk of theft/pilferage in-transit.Manage GPS tracking for in-transit shipmentsIn the event of any losses, ensure proper documentation of claims (above and below the deductible) stemming from in-transit, fixed location losses and other perils such as fire, earthquake, windstorm and flood.Identify loss trends (geographies, routes, customers); categorize loss events by severity and frequency. Determine cause of loss, lessons learned, mitigation activities & operations team awareness/education. Determine if trending towards improvement or deteriorationEmpower/ Educate Sales teams to restrict overly broad requirements that may expose company to non-covered risksWhen applicable and advantageous to PCS Wireless, ensure that we are an additional insured and loss payee with the third-party contractor.Identify opportunities when third parties can waive their subrogation rights against PCS Wireless.Review (as applicable) third party service agreements/contracts to ensure documented operational standards/processes will mitigate our risk and comply with our own insurance terms and conditions. Who You AreBachelor's degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field10+ years of experience with both management and global experience.Proficient in using security systems and software, such as CCTV, access control, and incident tracking systems.In-depth knowledge of security practices, procedures, and policies. Skills & Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.Excellent communications skills including but not limited to documenting of processes and procedures.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.The ability to travel internationally ~30% of your time. Nice to Have:Familiarity and exposure to Marine Cargo Insurance.Familiarity with legal regulations and compliance standards related to security and loss prevention.Any ASIS certification as well as any technology security and risk certificationsAdditional language skills beyond English with Spanish being an extra nice to have.
