Role DescriptionThis is a Contract role for a SCADA Engineer located in Manassas, VA, with the flexibility to work remotely part-time. The SCADA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems. This includes programming system functionalities, integrating components, troubleshooting system issues, maintaining system security, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize SCADA solutions. The role also involves ensuring system compliance with industry standards.QualificationsExperience in SCADA system design, implementation, and maintenanceProficiency in PLC programming, HMI, and automation controlStrong troubleshooting and system diagnostics skillsKnowledge of networking protocols and security principles related to SCADA systemsExperience with integrating third-party devices and ensuring compatibilityAbility to manage hybrid work schedules effectivelyStrong analytical and critical-thinking skillsCompliance knowledge for industry-specific standards (e.g., NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443)Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldRelevant certifications (e.g., SCADA Security Architect (CSSA)) are an advantage
