At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.What You’ll Do The Associate Director/ Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for cultivating strong scientific relationships with external experts, delivering clinical and scientific insights, and serving as a strategic partner to both internal teams and the broader medical community. We are looking for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is known for their persistence, resourcefulness, and commitment to excellence.With a strong scientific background and a passion for supporting those with rare diseases, the Sr. MSL will build trusted partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), facilitate scientific exchange, and collaborate cross‑functionally to advance internal initiatives. The role is critical in supporting Medical Affairs strategy and tactics by providing healthcare professionals (HCP) appropriate education and information to improve patient outcomes.This role offers the opportunity to step beyond traditional field‑based responsibilities, with the ability to shape and drive medical affairs tactics and operations from the ground up. The Sr. MSL will play a critical role in advancing internal initiatives and externally engaging with thought leaders in the areas of endocrinology, nephrology, and genetics.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and engage with external experts and HCPs, with the goal of providing disease state awareness, genetic identification, and scientific exchangeAdvance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes by engaging key stakeholders across the assigned territoryCultivate strong professional relationships with KOLs and influential HCPs to support scientific exchange and medical collaboration.Serve as a scientific resource and strategic partner to HCPs to support patient identification and appropriate care pathwaysEstablish and maintain professional relationships with a range of HCPs – including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other medical experts – to support disease education, product awareness, and evidence‑based practice in alignment with medical strategy.Conduct impactful customer engagements, including discussions around emerging data, clinical trial activity, treatment barriers, market dynamics, unmet medical needs, pipeline updates, and disease state education.Provide medical and scientific support for internal cross‑functional teams, including clinical development, commercial, and market access helping to ensure alignment with external insights and evolving scientific landscapes.Support Clinical Development by appropriately assisting with site and investigator identification, study awareness and education and act as a field liaison for study site staffSupport investigator‑initiated research efforts and collaborate on the development of scientific publications and congress presentations.Participate in the planning and execution of advisory boards, speaker training programs, and medical education initiativesServe as a medical and scientific expert at major medical conferences, symposia, and external stakeholder meetings.Collect, synthesize, and relay field‑based insights to internal teams to inform clinical strategy, product development, and evidence generation plans.Identify opportunities to connect KOLs with appropriate BridgeBio colleagues and follow through to support ongoing collaboration and alignment.Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including company travel and expense policies, institutional guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.Operate in full accordance with company Ethics, Compliance, and Promotional policies, fostering a culture of accountability and integrity among peers and collaborators.Where You’ll Work This is a U.S.‑based remote role that will require travel as needed for visits to our San Francisco Office and medical conferences within the United States.Who You AreAdvanced degree required (MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD)Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical AffairsPrior experience as an MSL is required; rare disease experience is a plusBackground in endocrinology, nephrology, or geneticsSkillsExcellent scientific communication and presentation skillsAbility to ideate and execute strategy quickly and independentlyComfortable working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environmentStrong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilitiesSelf‑driven with high emotional intelligence and professional maturityOther RequirementsAbility to comply with all internal policies and external regulations, including those related to travel, expenses, and complianceTravel required: ~60% travel, including territory field visits and U.S.‑based medical conferencesRewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible We have high expectations for our team members.
