Job Summary (List Format): Senior Python Quant DeveloperPosition Details Title: Python Developer Duration: 12+ months Industry: Asset Management / Capital Markets / Fixed IncomeKey Responsibilities Develop and refine quantitative algorithms/scripts in Python for complex financial/analytics problems. Work in a role similar to Data Science Engineer, focused on algorithmic and analytics software development. Collaborate with business and technical teams to create and enhance financial analytics tools (e.g., automated transition analysis, proposals, trade rationales, transition scorecards). Design and develop analytics for tax-advantaged taxable bond SMA products, including systematic tax optimization. Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance of quantitative analytics solutions.Technical Skills Required Strong Python programming, especially for quantitative/financial analytics. Extensive experience with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation, cleaning, storage, and statistical analysis. Object-Oriented development; familiarity with design patterns (C# experience a plus). Experience with backend technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, .NET, REST API, microservices. Understanding of parallel programming (multiprocessing, parallelization, cloud environments). Azure (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Data Factory, Containers, Docker) or AWS equivalent experience is a plus.Quantitative & Analytical Skills Strong mathematical/statistical background, including linear algebra, optimization, and interpolation. Proven ability to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot quantitative algorithms for financial applications. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions. Experience with full SDLC: coding, QA, unit testing, deployment, scalability in production.Preferred Background Experience from investment banks, investment managers, asset managers, or brokerage firms. Top 10% calibre candidates with proven quant development and financial analytics expertise.
