Only W2 Only W2 *Position : Senior Android Engineer* *Duration : Long Term Contract* *Location : TX CA GA* *Position Summary* This is a Software Developer II (Android) position for our mobile development team. We're building out our suite of investment mobile apps, adding cutting edge features and ensuring an excellent user experience. This position requires someone with a proven track record of delivering high quality software, solving complex problems, and working collaboratively across multiple organizations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with mobile technology including developing their own apps. REQUIRED SKILLS B.S. or greater Computer Science, related field, or commensurate practical experience OR demonstrable equivalent professional experience • Over 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications in Kotlin or Java and on any platform (mobile, web, etc.) • Strong mobile UI design and implementation experience, including prototyping • A rock solid understanding of object-oriented design patterns and the Android SDK. • Experience with multithreading, memory management and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices. • Passion for analyzing and improving runtime efficiency and memory footprint. • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. • Public showcase and repository of Mobile Apps and work desirable. • Developer tools: Android Studio • JSON/XML • Web services • Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration • Test Driven Development (TDD) • Jenkins Job Type: Contract Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Plano, TX 75023: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: * Kotlin: 4 years (Preferred) * SDKs: 4 years (Preferred) * Android: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
