Distribution Center Planner III
Job DescriptionThe Distribution Center Planner develops, updates, generates, and executes the stock distribution requirement plan for the network while supporting the effectiveness of the local market supply chain and customer service. This role has a direct link to the Inventory Planning & Capacity Manager to represent distribution constraints for the purposes of Master Capacity Planning.This position will serve the US Air Division, based in San Antonio, TX, Lewisville, TX, or Atlanta, GA.Responsibilities Creates and Maintains Valid Achievable Distribution Requirement plans through reviewing SKU level MPS plans and capacity considerations from source of supply Manages shelf-life and quality constraint requirement while balancing and moving stock in the network Constant Liaison with Demand Management, Logistics, Customer Service and Supply planning Reviews the network to assess how to best optimize distribution cost while maintaining service level, replenishment objectives and high product availability Monitor inventory against stock targets, pre-build plans, and service levels during low and peak seasonality trends and takes swift actions Defines near term distribution and warehousing requirements Facilitate the reduction of excess inventory and out of stocks, and work to manage near term issues Accountable for providing a view of all the warehouse capacity constraints, risks of violation, and opportunities to lift these constraints Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of key master data elements and planning data, not limited to planning parameters, to ensure planning is streamlined and effective Identify issues in the network activity, assess upcoming risks or issues in terms of execution or capacity in the S&OE horizon Accountable for informing on transportation disruptions and options to ensure the required goods are in place on time Drives actionable plans for excess inventory, slow-movers, no-movers, returns, dysfunctional stock Identify and prioritize root causes of fill rate issues and excess inventory, and drive corrective actions across cross-functional teams Maintain item segmentation, target inventory levels and quality of inventory Manage Finished Goods Inventory through the life cycle management process Track and report out key performance indicators (KPIs) Working with Supply and Inventory Analysis Partner: Review inventory policies and determine optimal updates on a monthly – quarterly basis Develop inventory targets and safety stock including min/max alongside reporting mechanisms to understand key KPIs and metrics Publish inventory reports and perform analysis on an as-needed basis Ongoing development of role in relation to business requirements is required as new tasks can be assigned QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of prior relevant experienceProficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, especially ExcelExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving skillsSome work in non-climate-controlled facilitySitting and walking for extended periodsOccasionally lifting up to 20lbsAs a Leader At Rheem, How You Achieve Results Is As Important As The Results You Achieve.
