2nd Shift Area ManagerRL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on 2nd Shift Area Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive team performance in a fast-paced production environment. This is a newly created leadership position with strong growth potential. The selected candidate will initially train on 1st shift for approximately 1–3 months before transitioning to lead the 2nd shift team.This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting employee development, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise production associates within assigned operational areaPromote and enforce workplace safety procedures and standardsDrive productivity, efficiency, and quality performance across the shiftSupport staffing, training, coaching, and performance management of team membersPartner with leadership to meet production schedules and customer requirementsUtilize continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing principles to optimize operationsMonitor operational metrics and identify opportunities for improvementCoordinate with maintenance and support teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performanceMaintain strong communication across departments and shiftsEnsure a clean, organized, and efficient work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing production teams and meeting operational goalsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing systemsAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferredPreferred QualificationsAssociate’s, Bachelor’s, or technical degree5+ years of manufacturing leadership experienceExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesAdditional InformationShift hours are currently being finalized due to this being a newly created positionMust be flexible to work additional hours or weekends as neededWhy Apply?Opportunity to help build and lead a newly established shiftStrong leadership visibility and career growth potentialCollaborative and team-oriented environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits package
