Job Title: Oracle OTM Functional ConsultantLocation: Richmond, VA (Fully onsite)Years of experience required: 8+ YearsWork Authorization: only w2Job Description:Our client, based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a senior Oracle OTM consultant to lead a critical de-customization and redesign initiative.The right candidate will have deep, real-world OTM expertise — not just implementation experience, but a thorough command of what OTM can do out of the box.You will partner with business stakeholders to assess the current over-customized state, document future-state requirements, and drive configuration changes that simplify and stabilize the platform. This is a fully onsite engagement with travel expenses covered.Key responsibilities:Conduct a thorough assessment of the client's current OTM environment, identifying over-customizations and areas of technical debtLead business requirements gathering sessions with transportation, logistics, and IT stakeholders to define the future-state visionDevelop a redesign roadmap that prioritizes out-of-box OTM capabilities over custom developmentConfigure and reconfigure OTM modules — order management, shipment planning, rate management, carrier management, and agent framework — in alignment with future-state requirementsProvide clear guidance on what native OTM functionality can replace existing customizationsDocument current-state findings, gap analysis, and future-state design decisionsCollaborate with integration and development teams to safely unwind custom code and integrationsSupport testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and provide hypercare during transitionDeliver knowledge transfer to internal teams to reduce future dependency on customizationRequired qualifications:8+ years of deep, hands-on Oracle OTM experience — candidates must be able to speak fluently to OTM's native out-of-box capabilitiesDemonstrated experience on de-customization, platform rationalization, or OTM upgrade/cleanup engagements (highly preferred)Strong business analysis skills — ability to run requirements workshops and translate business needs into OTM configuration solutionsExpertise configuring core OTM domains: location management, order release rules, bulk planning, rates & accessorials, shipment building, and agent automationSolid understanding of transportation modes — TL, LTL, parcel, intermodalExperience with OTM integrations via EDI (204/214/210), XML, and web servicesAbility to communicate complex technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical business stakeholdersMust be able to work fully onsite in Richmond, VA — no exceptionsPreferred qualificationsOracle OTM certificationPrior experience working within Oracle Cloud OTM (SaaS) environmentsBackground with Oracle EBS, Fusion ERP, or WMS integrationsExperience in supply chain, 3PL, manufacturing, or distribution environmentsComfort leading cross-functional workshops and presenting to director/VP-level stakeholders
