Semo Milling, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Lead! Candidates must be willing to work 6pm-6am and every other weekend.MUST have a valid driver's license and either have or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL, at our expense. $3.00/hour increase with active and valid Class A CDL!!I. Position PurposeReporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for the execution of the plant predetermined load-out schedule, plant sanitation, material handling and general support of operations.II. Position Responsibilities and DutiesPerforming duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and processed in a timely manner:Shipping ResponsibilitiesExecute the shipping process as directed by the Operations SupervisorEnsuring adherence to packaging, load-out and mill production schedules.Partake in inventory process on daily basis.Facility Sanitation.Utilizing good manufacturing processes.Prime product and hominy load-out.Monitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilization.Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable.Responsible for quality of work within area.Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion inspection ready at all times.Actively engage in continuous improvement programs such as SOP's.Quality, Safety and SanitationFollow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipmentFollow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/proceduresInspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are presentCommunicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managersAt end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping dutiesComplete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirementsGeneral LeadershipEnsure all regulatory compliance.Follow established Human Resources procedures.Ensure proper training and adherence to area SOP's.Assist with evaluating the performance of subordinates.Create a team working environment.Develop key indicators to measure quality and productivity.Open Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.III. Essential SkillsThis position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values, and Strategic Objectives.Education Level:High School Diploma or GEDRelated Experience:Shipping/bulk loading experience preferredTeam orientedMust possess or be willing and able to obtain a valid class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, and an acceptable driving recordIV. Physical and Mental RequirementsThis position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.
