Optical Diagnostics Sales Manager

Location: LATAM (remote with travel across the region)Industry: Ophthalmic Medical Devices & Digital DiagnosticsPurpose of the RoleThe Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, managing and developing distributor partnerships, and expanding the company’s market presence throughout LATAM & USA. This role combines account management, commercial strategy, and hands‑on market development, with a strong emphasis on deepening relationships with distributors, clinics, hospitals, and key opinion leaders in ophthalmology.Key ResponsibilitiesDistributor & Partner ManagementManage and support existing distributors across the LATAM & USA region, ensuring they meet quarterly and annual sales targets.Deliver product training, commercial guidance, and marketing support to distributor teams.Identify and evaluate new distributor candidates in markets not yet covered.Monitor distributor performance, conduct reviews, and implement corrective action plans when necessary.Market Development & Sales ExecutionBuild networks across the region including ophthalmologists, clinics, hospitals, and service providers.Support sales activities such as demonstrations, customer visits, industry events, and congress participation.Drive new business development by identifying market opportunities, mapping potential customers, and supporting commercial entry strategies.Contribute market insights, pricing feedback, and competitive intelligence to leadership teams.Commercial Planning & ReportingPrepare and manage budgets for the assigned region.Provide accurate, timely reporting on revenue, pipelines, forecasting, and market trends.Collaborate closely with global cross‑functional teams including marketing, service, support, and R&D.Customer & KOL EngagementFoster relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical partners, and early‑adopter sites across the region.Support end‑customer interactions when needed, including contract discussions and demonstrations.Qualifications & ExperienceRequired5+ years’ experience in medical device sales, ideally in ophthalmology.Track record managing distributors in LATAM & USA and achieving revenue targets.Strong technical sales capability with experience demonstrating clinical or diagnostic equipment.Willingness to travel across the region (approx. 30–50%).PreferredUnderstanding of reimbursement pathways and regulatory landscapes in LATAM & USA.Comfort working with distributed international teams and flexible hours.Additional training or certifications in commercial sales, marketing, or medical device compliance.Key CompetenciesStrong relationship‑building and cross‑cultural communication skills.Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and account management capability.Proactive, independent, and capable of creating structure in fast‑growing markets.Analytical approach to market evaluation and distributor performance management.High levels of professionalism, learning agility, and customer‑first mindset.For more information please reach out to: talbeeya.khan@established-search.com
