Our optimism is game-changing.Description of the Position To support its development, Sia recruits final year students, data scientists with strong expertise in operations research.You will join our team of experts to develop solutions for Operations Research and Decision Support by designing and implementing optimization solutions under constraints and simulation models. Your work will be organized around the following issues:Operations Research : Assistance in the design and implementation of optimization solutions under constraints and advanced simulation models. Modeling and solving business problems in different fields.Machine Learning and Statistics : Development of explanatory and predictive models to support decision-making (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis,...)Big Data : Algorithmic knowledge for processing large volumes of data and unstructured data.In the context of the internal activities of the firm , your participation will focus on the following areas:Participate in technological foresight and R&D activity within our Operations Research laboratory (and/or in annex laboratories, Natural Language Processing, Times Series, Computer Vision...).Participate in the development and strengthening of our offers through training, working groups, dissemination of internal and external support...Participate in commercial development by contributing to the definition of needs and participating in commercial actions.Qualifications Soon to graduate from an engineering school or a high-level training in the field of operations research, information processing, statistical engineering, and econometrics , you ideally have initial experience in Optimization, Big Data, or Data Science.You have an excellent level in applied mathematics or statistics and quantitative analysis with a strong appetite for Operations Research (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ease of understanding models and applying them).You master Python programming and code versioning, and/or have solid bases in scripting languages (Julia, Perl, JS, bash) or compiled languages (C++, Java) and/or have experience in UNIX/LINUX environments.You know optimization solvers and have already used them in the context of professional projects. You wish to deepen the concepts of problem-solving through linear programming in integer numbers, dynamic programming, heuristics, and the elaboration of metaheuristics. You enjoy mathematically modeling real-world problems.You want to get involved and quickly take on responsibilities on internal R&D missions and projects with high added value within a dynamic structure.You have an appetite for the issues related to data and AI, a capacity to quickly develop skills on these subjects, and are enthusiastic about helping our clients seize the opportunities.You are curious and like working in a team?
