Development Manager

BettingJobs is working with a well-established B2B/B2C business with teams located in several countries globally, they are searching for a Development Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur.Key responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop multiple software development teams across different regions and time zonesDrive delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with business and product goalsCollaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to plan and prioritise work effectivelyEstablish and improve development processes, standards, and best practicesSupport career development, performance management, and hiring of engineering talentBalance hands-on technical understanding with strong people and delivery leadershipCommunicate clearly with senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomesRequirements:Proven experience as a Development Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership roleStrong background in software development with the ability to engage confidently in technical discussionsExperience leading teams in a multi-country or distributed environmentTrack record of delivering complex B2B and/or B2C products at scalExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPragmatic, collaborative leadership style with a focus on continuous improvementNice to have:Experience working in both B2B and B2C environmentsExposure to modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD, cloud-based architectures)Experience scaling teams or platforms in a growing organisation
