The Assistant Principal can expect to: Lead advisory, including programming, course planning, and executionVia check-ins with advisors, track and oversee academic and behavioral progress for a subset of grade levelsSet and maintain a safe, restorative, and positive school culture that prioritizes equity, respect, and strong relationships. This includes leading disciplinary processes, supporting and often leading restorative practices, and leading and supporting programming that proactively contributes to a positive school culture.Work with the Principal’s Office on a variety of projects and responsibilities, including:Support teachers in follow-up related to plagiarism or academic dishonestyCollect, organize, and use data relevant to school disciplineMonitor and supervise student behavior and implement school discipline when necessarySupervise students serving In-School Suspension and Behavior ReflectionParticipate in relevant disciplinary hearings and complete necessary documents and data tracking in a timely mannerCommunicate regularly with students’ familiesDirectly support with student behavior management in and out of classroomsLead CCSC’s Safety Care crisis prevention and de-escalation programSupervise student attendance work (AVF program, chronic absenteeism)Contribute to faculty growth through mentoring and coachingDirectly supervise and evaluate other members of the Principal’s OfficeParticipate in hiring and fulfill regular staff responsibilities QualificationsSeveral years of experience working directly with youth in a school setting requiredStrong relationship-building skills with youth and adults requiredExperience with Restorative Justice (Tiers 1, 2, and 3) strongly preferredExperience coaching and/or leading school staff strongly preferredSalary & TimelineInterviews begin immediately; priority deadline is April 15, 2026.
