Craft Training Program Manager
Job DescriptionThe Craft Training Program Manager will oversee multiple Craft Training programs and ensure the success of their sustained deployment across the enterprise. The primary focus of the role is aligning program goals with long-term goals of the organization while driving consistency and efficiency in program design, development and deployment. Will be responsible for scaling current programs while identifying new program scopes to build out and manage. This role will be coached/managed by the Craft Apprenticeships & Training Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a structured framework for managing multiple concurrent interdependent craft training projects and initiatives related to specific craft workforce development programsMaintain, scale and enhance existing programs; collaborate with stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues. Work with appropriate stakeholders across the enterprise to build and launch new programsExecute centralized coordinated management of program components. Administer and manage program activities in accordance with established organizational goals and schedulesMeasure program effectiveness on a regular basis to ensure ROILead development and implementation of program planning; each training program should have short-term and long-term strategic goalsLeverage stakeholders for feedback and buy-in on proposed program changes or enhancementsEnsure high integration with People Practices, SPW Leadership and Field Teams to drive clarity of roles & responsibilities and consistency in program deploymentAbility to travel 25% annually within the domestic U.S.Maintain appropriate training program credentials and compliance for all craft training programsEnsure all Facilitators, Instructors and Stakeholders maintain and keep active all required credentials and trainingSupervise and provide direction for a team of coordinators, facilitators, field leaders and SMEsEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a functional area of People Practices (e.g. Talent Development, Human Resources, Learning & Development), Business Administration, I/O Psychology, or a related fieldBi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred4+ years of experience with craft training program design, management and/or deploymentConstruction industry experience is preferredExperience with learning data, reporting, and analytics, including the ability to identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve program effectivenessExperience partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and People Operations services to develop and deliver workforce solutions is a plusKnowledge of current DPR Craft Training ProgramsCertifications and LicensesHold active Training Credentials as required and have knowledge of craft training program requirementsWork EnvironmentInside – inside environmental conditions or standard office environmentConstantly, 67% – 100%Physical ActivityHearing – receiving detailed information through oral communication and making fine distinctions in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts (Constantly, 67% – 100%)Repetitive motions – substantial movements of the wrists, fingers, and/or hands (Frequently, 34% – 66%)Sitting – particularly for extended periods of time (Frequently, 34% – 66%)Talking – expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
