The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior or Partner-level Solar Energy Attorney to join the Boston office of a preeminent Northern European international law firm. This is a pivotal role within a firm dedicated to accelerating the global energy transition. You will be a key architect of the firm's expansion into the US solar market.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancing & Transactions: Lead sophisticated project financing, including tax equity and debt structures, and oversee high-stakes M&A for single-asset and portfolio acquisitions.Project Development: Navigate the legal complexities of project planning, permitting, and environmental compliance at the federal, state, and local levels.Real Estate & Land Use: Negotiate intricate land leases, easement agreements, and site-control strategies.Regulatory & Grid Strategy: Expertly manage Massachusetts SMART 3.0 incentives, ISO-NE interconnection processes, and FERC/DPU regulatory frameworks.Contracting: Draft and negotiate high-value Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, and O&M agreements.What We're Looking ForExperience: 7+ years of dedicated renewable energy law experience with a demonstrable track record in solar project development.Business Development: Strong client-facing skills and a portable book of business (or a team move) are highly desirable for Partnership consideration.Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school and an active member of a US Bar.Global Mindset: An interest in international travel and collaborating across global jurisdictions.Why Join?This is more than a lateral move; it is an invitation to build a legacy.
